Macclesfield Community History

Free Little Book Exchange

Thanks to the MCA (Macclesfield Community Association) Macclesfield now has it's own Little Free Library in front of the Institute on Venables Street, built by George Reeves and appearing in late 2018. In general they are the size of a dollhouse, the idea being that locals browse, take one, and leave a replacement.

Besides inviting people to read, no doubt it provides an opportunity for people to meet each other, and helps Macclesfield become a community rather than a neighbourhood.
